Bhairav Kund, the holy lake, is named after lord Shiva,
who is also known as the "Bhairav". The
beautiful lake is situated in the north-east
of Kathmandu and the next right to Panch Pokhari. The
lake site is close to
Nepal -Tibet border. It
is one of the popular trekking sites of Nepal. There is no
denying the fact that one can enjoy a typical Nepali life and
culture along the way to the lake. When one ascents to
the top of Bhairab Kund, one can enjoy a panoramic view
of Rolwaling range, Jugal Himal range and some of the Tibetan
mountains as well.
