Nepal is a land of topographical variation. With a number of mountain peaks, lush green valleys and hills, the country has also several rivers. The rivers come down from the breathtaking height of mountains and flow into the Ganges in India. Because of such rivers, Nepal holds huge prospects for rafting. Rafting is one of the best ways to explore the typical cross-section of natural and ethno-cultural heritage of this Himalayan country. One can glide on calm and cool jade waters with magnificent scenery through roaring whitewater rapids.
The major rivers suitable for having a unique experience of rafting include the Trishuli (rafting for 1 up to 3 days), the Seti River (at least 2 days), the Bhote Khosi River (2 days' trip), the Kali Gandaki River (3 days rafting), the Marshyangdi River (4 days), the Sun Koshi River (7 up to 9 days rafting), the Arun River (9 days of rafting adventure), the Karnali River (10 days of whitewater rafting), the Tamur River (11 days' rafting). The rivers and mountains offer unlimited opportunities for many other adventure activities like kayaking, climbing, mountaineering, biking, hiking and trekking.
