The Manaslu Region presents trekkers with another remarkable gem: the Mt. Himlung Himal Expedition. This majestic peak stands at an impressive 7,126 meters northeast of the Annapurna Range. Nestled in a remote area near the Nepal-Tibet border, Mt. Himlung is notably less challenging regarding technical difficulty than other peaks of similar height.
The journey to Himlung begins along the Annapurna route, leading to Koto and then to Nar-Phu Gaun. A recently opened trail from Nar-Phu Gaun to Manang unveils stunning vistas of towering peaks and high passes, accompanied by awe-inspiring glaciers, gorges, springs, and secluded villages. These remote settlements showcase rich cultural heritage against the backdrop of breathtaking views of Api Himal, Kappa Chuli Peak, Nanda Devi, and more.
